We consider contributed articles, expert-led explainers and suitable paid placements where the subject fits our editorial scope. A successful submission should help a homeowner or long-term renter understand a cost, compare realistic options or make a better-informed home-energy decision.
The strongest pitches are narrow, useful and numerate. A proposal such as a clearly defined appliance running-cost comparison or an explanation of battery payback assumptions is more suitable than a broad company profile or promotional article. Every cost claim must include a number, a unit and a date, with enough information for the reader to understand the basis of the figure.

We publish within six areas: Appliance Running Costs; Heating & Boilers; Insulation & Damp; Energy Bills & Tariffs; Solar & Home Batteries; and EV Charging at Home.
We do not cover energy-market news, Ofgem policy commentary, supplier-switching tables, individual bill disputes or instructions that encourage readers to carry out gas or electrical work themselves. We also reject exaggerated savings headlines and unsupported claims.

Approval and publication timing
Sending a pitch does not guarantee acceptance. We review proposed subjects, sources, claims and commercial relevance before approving a contribution. Once a submission has been approved and the final material meets our requirements, publication normally takes five to seven working days.
