This policy explains what personal data WarmerBills collects, why, and what your rights are. We have written it in plain English rather than legal boilerplate.
WarmerBills is operated by Getbacklinks.uk LTD (“we”, “us”), a company registered in England and Wales, company number [COMPANY NUMBER], registered office [COMPANY ADDRESS]. We are the data controller for the purposes of UK GDPR.
The short version
We do not sell your data. We do not build profiles of you. We collect the minimum needed to run the site, understand roughly how many people visit, and show advertising that keeps the site free.
What we collect
When you contact us
If you email us or use the contact form, we receive your name, email address and whatever you write. We use this only to reply to you, and we keep it for as long as we might reasonably need to follow up — usually no more than two years.
Legal basis: legitimate interest (responding to enquiries).
When you subscribe to our newsletter
If you sign up, we store your email address with our email provider. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from the list immediately.
Legal basis: consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
When you simply read the site
Our web server keeps standard logs including IP address, browser type, pages visited and time of visit. These are security and diagnostic records, kept for a limited period.
Legal basis: legitimate interest (site security and operation).
Analytics
We use analytics software to understand which articles people read and how they found us. This tells us that an article was read 400 times — not who read it. IP addresses are anonymised where the tool supports it.
Legal basis: consent, via the cookie banner.
Advertising
We display advertising through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
You can opt out of personalised advertising at google.com/settings/ads and review Google’s own practices at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Legal basis: consent, via the cookie banner.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We explain exactly which ones this site uses and how to control them in our Cookie Policy.
When you first visit, a banner asks for your choice. You can accept all, reject all, or choose categories, and you can change your mind at any time through the cookie settings link in our footer.
Rejecting non-essential cookies does not stop you reading anything on this site.
Who we share data with
We share data only with the service providers needed to run the site:
- Hosting provider — stores the site and its server logs
- Email service — delivers newsletters if you have subscribed
- Analytics provider — processes anonymised visit statistics
- Google AdSense — serves advertising
Some of these providers are based outside the UK. Where data is transferred internationally, it is done under legal safeguards such as UK adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses.
We do not sell your personal data to anyone, and we never will.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Access — ask what personal data we hold about you
- Rectification — have inaccurate data corrected
- Erasure — ask us to delete your data
- Restriction — ask us to limit how we use it
- Portability — receive your data in a portable format
- Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interest
- Withdraw consent — at any time, for anything based on consent
To exercise any of these, email [email protected]. We will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with our response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Children
This site is intended for adults managing a household. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
External links
Our articles link to other websites — manufacturers, government pages, retailers. Once you follow a link you are on someone else’s site, governed by their privacy policy, not ours.
Changes to this policy
If we make significant changes we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes affecting your rights will be highlighted on the site.
